error message snort-2.8.5.2

Greetings-
   I just upgraded to above version and had to comment out the following
line from snort.conf:
#config detection: search-method ac-bnfa
I got a fatal error before I took it out.  Error stated that I can only
configure detection once.  
Anyone know what is the best way to handle this?
