Multithreaded SnortSP 3.0

Hi,

One of the features of SnortSP 3.0 is "Multithreaded execution model - multiple analysis engines may operate 
simultaneously on the same traffic". What are some examples of these analysis engines, besides the detection engine?

Also, I get the impression that snort will run one instance of each analysis engine on separate threads, and not 
multiple instances of say, the detection engine on separate threads. Am I correct?
