Snort & Clam-AV

I was reading an article somewhere about a Clam-AV preprocessor  for snort
2.4
I think the article dated back to 2005,

Something about it would make more sense to have snort use Clam AV libs
instead of
using snort virus rules .


Does that project still exist ?
