See below: ii libmysqlclient15-dev 5.0.32-7etch5 mysql database development files ii libmysqlclient15off 5.0.32-7etch5 mysql database client library ii mysql-client-5.0 5.0.32-7etch5 mysql database client binaries ii mysql-common 5.0.32-7etch5 mysql database common files (e.g. /etc/mysql ii mysql-server-5.0 5.0.32-7etch5 mysql database server binaries I don't believe that anything is missing. I tried a lot of tricks to no avail. Regards, ZK --- Seth <sethsec () gmail com> wrote:

It's been a few months, but if memory serves me correctly, you need the mysql AND mysqlclient packages and possibly even mysql-devel as well. -Seth On Sat, Mar 1, 2008 at 8:04 PM, Zakai Kinan <titanyen2000 () yahoo com> wrote:I am having problems installing barnyard becauseitrefuses to see the mysql lib files in /usr/lib.I amusing debian etch with mysql 5.0.32 from binary.Hereis the error: loading cache ./config.cache checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes checking for working aclocal-1.4... missing checking for working autoconf... found checking for working automake-1.4... missing checking for working autoheader... found checking for working makeinfo... missing checking for gcc... gcc checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works...yeschecking whether the C compiler (gcc ) is a cross-compiler... no checking whether we are using GNU C... yes checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes checking for gcc option to accept ANSI C... none needed checking for ranlib... ranlib checking for gcc...
