How Can I Know what intrusion attack my system by snort and acid reports

Helo friends.
My snort and acid running very well, and get the reports by acid in my IE,
but I don't undestain How can I know if any Hacker and any intrusion want to
enter in my system?

I apreciate if any freinds in this mailist can help me, about this subject.
