Problem starting Snort

Hi everybody.
I'm having a new poblem... This is what the screen dumps when I start Snort
as a service (/etc/rc.d/init.d/snortd start)...

And when I try to see the status of the service (snortd) by typing

snort dead but subsys locked

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
