I've seen multiple posts in regards to this issue and this is what I've tried so far. /snort-2.2.0# LDFLAGS="-static" ./configure --with-libpcap-libraries=../libpcap-0.8.1 --with-libpcap-includes=../libpcap-0.8.1 When I run this command I get the following error: checking for pcap_datalink in -lpcap... no ERROR! Libpcap library/headers not found, go get it from http://www.tcpdump.org or use the --with-libpcap-* options, if you have it installed in unusual place When I don't set the LDFLAGS lpcap libraries are found and snort compiles. What am I doing wrong? pc ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by Shop4tech.com-Lowest price on Blank Media 100pk Sonic DVD-R 4x for only $29 -100pk Sonic DVD+R for only $33 Save 50% off Retail on Ink & Toner - Free Shipping and Free Gift. http://www.shop4tech.com/z/Inkjet_Cartridges/9_108_r285 _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users
