I use Debian, with the file /etc/snort/snort.debian.conf : # This file is used for options that are changed by Debian to leave # the original lib files untouched. # You have to use "dpkg-reconfigure snort" to change them. DEBIAN_SNORT_STARTUP="manual" DEBIAN_SNORT_HOME_NET="172.20.12.0/24" DEBIAN_SNORT_OPTIONS="" DEBIAN_SNORT_INTERFACE="eth0" DEBIAN_SNORT_STATS_RCPT="admin () domaine fr" DEBIAN_SNORT_STATS_TRESHOLD="1" I installed mysql and snort-mysql. It works well using the output that is a file in /var/log/snort. I don't succeed configure snort to send output to the database mysql, that I created with all the permissions for snort user. Where is it possible to indicate snort a line like : output database: log, mysql, user=snort password=snort dbname=snort host=localhost ? I have no snort.conf file, only this /etc/snort/snort.debian.conf file ! Thanks for your help Jacky Vous manquez despace pour stocker vos mails ? Yahoo! Mail vous offre GRATUITEMENT 100 Mo !
