No mysql support error

Hello, I can't seem to get snort to start. It appears to start, but immediately dies. I have entered " snort -c /etc/snort/snort.conf " and I get to following message: Database "mysql" Support is not compiled into this build of snort I compiled it from source and I used the -with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql flag. I also see the message "checking for mysql ...yes" output from .configure. Does anyone have a clue what could be the problem? Or if not, are there any other debug tools I could use to track this? Would be nice if snort had a -debug flag so you could see where it fails during startup.
