snort sending snmp traps

hi
   i installed snort 2.1.0 with snortsnmp plugin.
i integrate it with openNMS.
but when i do nmap it should send a portscan trap to opennms.i had SnortAlert mib to opennms.
still i am reciving any thing.
plz help regarding this.
