We have done some additional digging into this and believe we have pinpointed the problem. We were able to get this to run in a test environement when we commented out a new subroutine called "str2int" in sfutil/util_str.c. Maybe this conflicts with the libmysql routine with the same name? This is working with 2.0.4, so I don't believe it is related to our database config. Snort dies with a segmentation fault during the Connect() at: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x000bba48 in str2int (str=0xffbeff7c "077", ret=0x8, allow_negative=0) at util_str.c:53 /local/src/snort-2.1.1/src/sfutil/util_str.c:53. Thanks, Don
