Hello, I have installed succesfully snort with Acid. All works fine, my /var/log/alert grows, i can see any alerts, all is good. But there is one thing which do not work: Acid stay clear and doesn't log any alert. Where can i change the variable to put alert on Acid?
ACID doesn't read from /var/log/alert, it relies upon snort (or, better, barnyard or mudpit) to insert the alerts into a DBMS of some kind (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL). Read up on the 'database' and 'unified' output plugins.
