Snort permissions problem

Sorry for the newb question...but after trying to implement the database
archiving detailed in the recent posts to this forum..I can no long start
snort due to the following error:

ERROR: database: mysql_error: Access denied for user: 'snort@localhost'
(Using password: YES)

I've seen this before when doing mysql queries...but how can I fix this for
snort?  thanks
