If you need a flexible warnsystem try logsurfer. It's working very well
for me. A sophisticated tool allowing you to perform virtually any
action you need.

IMHO fast/another/more (real time) output plugin/s would make more sense
for barnyard, since Snort should better be leaving alone from additional
burdens like logging.
