Actually, the software shouldn't care if it is 192.168.1.x/24 for any value of x from 0-255. They are all equivalent. If it does cause problems I would consider it to be a bug. Code that can handle any length netmask should be able to deal with it. -paul -----Original Message----- From: snort-users-admin () lists sourceforge net [mailto:snort-users-admin () lists sourceforge net] On Behalf Of Schmehl, Paul L Sent: Friday, September 12, 2003 5:28 PM To: Alex Degen; snort-users () lists sourceforge net Subject: RE: [Snort-users] No netmask specified for home network! -----Original Message----- From: Alex Degen [mailto:rattenscharf19 () web de] Sent: Thursday, September 11, 2003 7:32 AM To: rattenscharf19 () web de; snort-users () lists sourceforge net Subject: [Snort-users] No netmask specified for home network!
