Snort as firewall

  Hi, 

  I arrived at snort homepage looking for an open source firewall for my 
windows 2000 office machine. Before I start learning about snort, I would 
like to ask you: can snort actually be used as a firewall? If all I need 
is a firewall, is using snort a good idea or should I just look at some 
think else?
