yes, run ./configure additionaly with the "--enable-mysql" switch and watch the compiling process for lines containing "MYSQL". If you use RedHat you have to install the mysql-devel package. You can see all the compiling parameters if you call "./configure --help". Useful is the "sysconfdir" switch (usually/etc/snort and not /usr/local/etc). On RedHat one may use --with-infodir=/usr/local/share/info --with-mandir=/usr/local/share/man
