Thank you Paul, I've read the docs and faqs regarding ACID, I was mind if there are some workaround, patch or unofficial solution, to check if the data written to oracle are ok. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Schmehl" <pauls () utdallas edu> To: "Master Brian" <mangabbs () hotmail com> Cc: "Snort Users List" <snort-users () lists sourceforge net> Sent: Monday, March 31, 2003 11:05 PM Subject: Re: [Snort-users] ACID
Perhaps this will answer your question. In the distribution of ACID that I have there are three files related to building ACID tables; create_acid_tbls_mssql, create_acid_tbls_mysql and create_acid_tbls_pgsql. So, it looks like ACID supports MS Sql, mysql and postgresql, but *not* Oracle. If you look at the ACID website in the "Installation and Configuration" section (http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/~rdanyliw/snort/acid_config.html), you will see three databases; MS SQL, mysql and postgresql. I think that's pretty conclusive. ACID has no support for Oracle.
