Looks like the compiled version of snort your installed did not contain "--with-mysql" in the ./configure. You may want to get the source and recompile it manually. -----Original Message----- From: snort-users-admin () lists sourceforge net [mailto:snort-users-admin () lists sourceforge net]On Behalf Of Allen, Garrett Sent: Friday, April 25, 2003 1:01 PM To: snort-users () lists sourceforge net Subject: [Snort-users] is there a 2.0 build that is mysql compatible i now have mysql installed and operational. wanted to have the alerts fed to the db. so i made the requisite snort.conf change and dropped the -l logfile option from the command line (so it read /usr/local/bin/snort -d -c /etc/snort/snort.conf). upon initiation i get the following error: database: compiled support for ( ) database: configured to use mysql database: 'mysql' support is not compiled into this build of snort i obtained this as an rpm for the linux 8 box i'm running. it is version 2.0.0 (build 72). thoughts? ideas? beer? thanks. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users
