Problems in phplot Quick Start

Hello,

In spite of fact I had compiled apache with gd option and gd 
package is correctly installed, when I tried to made a teste at url 
http://myserver/phplot/examples/test_setup.php, I receceived the 
following error:
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagecreate() in 
/var/acid/phplot/examples/test_setup.php on line 27".
