Yes, it appears to be a list of files and their version numbers and that's not surprising.. microsoft tells you that they do this if you read..
If you read the privacy statement in windows XP, for example, it states that it sends no personally identifiable information. They also explicitly tell you that they do send:
Operating-system version number Internet Explorer version number Version numbers of other software for which Windows Update provides updates Plug and Play ID numbers of hardware devices Region and Language setting Perhaps you should read that privacy statement in full.
