Hi all, Disclaimer:IANASD (I'm Not a Snort Developer) IMHO, it'll will be very useful if there is an option to compile snort as a detection library. This will be useful for other application like snort-inline and hogwash where there is a need to use snort detection engine. So it will be possible to compile with snort detection engine with -lsnort. I know that libnids already existed for a long time but it is more towards the E-box (event) not the the A-box (analysis). Libnids has some basic matching function but if we can use snort's powerful rule parsing and detection engine it will be more useful. My two cents, Shaiful __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
