in your snort.conf file, what is the syntax you are using for output ?  This
thread has come up many times and it essentially comes down to changing the
"log" to "alert" in the output line:

output database: alert, mysql, user=root password=test dbname=db
host=localhost

i did managed to install ACID,SNORT and MYSQL.but from the ACID console
browser,i cant view any data being captured or alerts even im running snort?
why? i need some guidelines.how do i enable ACID so that when i run the
snort it would populate the data realtime?

im using Redhat 7.3.
