So, I'm confused, you're trying to install a beta of 2.0 on FreeBSD or the 
verion in ports (1.9.0)?  I use the version in ports, and it installs just 
fine on my 4.7-RELEASE system and my -STABLE system.

:: First, it needed automake1.6 (not just supported in Fbsd Ports yet?) but
:: seems to compile and install fine.

:: then it complained about libnet-config and --cflags, said I should inform

You should only need to install libnet if you're using flexrep.  If you're 
not, you can get away without it.
