You need to send your HOME_NET variable, this is probably the simplest way to do it . var HOME_NET 192.168.0.0/16 or you can make a pass rule in your local.rules and make your snort ignore all traffic destined for that server. variable solution is better becuase this make snort aware of what it is monitoring.
