Newbie Setup Question

Hi all,We have a small network (<50 PCs) and I would like to add a Windows 2000 machine with Snort to the mix.
From what I have been reading am I correct in assuming that what I should do is get a network tap and then set things up as follows...
[snort PC] ^ | | [router] --> [firewall] --> [tap] --> [switch with all our PCs]For a small network is this the "recommended" way to do things without having to use port mirroring on the switch?
Thanks in advance for all your help, Kevin ------------------ Kevin Bachelder Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - Windows NT 4.0 (MCSE) Microsoft Certified Professional - Windows 2000 (MCP) Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)CompTIA A+ Certified Computer Repair Technician (A+)
