SNORT & ACID PROBLEMS!!!

hi,

im new to ACID,but im getting use to it now.i have few questions regarding snort and ACID:

1.if the snort deamon snord start is activated do i have to type snort -dev to make it run?

2.the values in ACID like TCP,UDP increases but izzit real time?it is not increasing realtime.

3.how to delete all the values at the screen if i want to start my testing from start?i mean erase the old data?
