Use Snort to measure HTTP transfer ?

Hi!

First, sorry for my bad english and second, sorry if this is a little off 
topic :)

I want to know if I can use an Snort installation to "count" HTTP data 
transfer (in and out) based on host-header and save to a MySQL database.
