Snort "Fatal Error"

Hi,

In my case, K20 value is assigned to these following services.
[root@linuxpc rc0.d]# ls K20* | more
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           16 Jul 27 18:07 K20rstatd ->
../init.d/rstatd
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           17 Jul 27 18:07 K20rusersd ->
../init.d/ruser
sd
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           16 Jul 27 18:07 K20rwalld ->
../init.d/rwalld
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           15 Jul 27 18:05 K20rwhod ->
../init.d/rwhod
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           13 Jul 27 18:05 K20nfs ->
../init.d/nfs
[root@linuxpc rc0.d]# cd ../rc3.d
[root@linuxpc rc3.d]# ls K20* | more
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           16 Aug 26 21:52 K20rstatd ->
../init.d/rstatd
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           17 Aug 26 21:52 K20rusersd ->

What could be the problem when I start snortd , it starts but "it comes out
by giving
fatal error" ?

You have to create the following links to /etc/rc.d/snort

/etc/rc.d/rc0.d/K20snortd
/etc/rc.d/rc1.d/K20snortd
/etc/rc.d/rc2.d/K20snortd
/etc/rc.d/rc3.d/K20snortd
/etc/rc.d/rc4.d/K20snortd
/etc/rc.d/rc5.d/K20snortd
