Archiving Snort--mysql questions

Hello, I'm currently running snort 1.8.6b105 on a windows 2000 box. My issue is that when my database reaches, say more 2000 records, the archive, delete, etc. functions no longer work properly. This may be due to weak machine, but I still need to move the records to an archive database. So, I use mysqldump command to dump the data to a file and then import it into the archive db using mysql -f -u snort snort < *.dump. I have two questions: 1)how do I append the data to the archive database so that I do not get all of the "duplicate data" errors? 2)specifically what tables do I need to delete in the snort database so that I do not get goofy results when using the acid interface? Thank you very much for your help.
