don't have a work around, but we observed the same thing in a similiar config although on freebsd. we ended up decoupling the pieces and imported data into mysql via barnyard. that, in addition to periodic restarts of the snort daemon at time of log rotation has served us well so far.. thanks, chris On Thu, Apr 18, 2002 at 09:56:11AM -0400, Redman, Ken wrote:

There is nothing in the logs. I heard something mentioned on the board a while ago about this issue being a memory leak causing the usage to go to 100%.
