Help

I have the following error tyring to load snort.  My libmysqlclient.so.10 is 
located in /usr/local/lib
Do I have a configuration wrong.?? Any help would greatly be apprectiated..

Starting snort: /usr/local/bin/snort: error while loading shared libraries: 
libmysqlclient.so.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or 
directory
[FAILED]
