snort_stat.pl

Hi , I've got a problem with reports from Snort_stat.pl
My snort is a version 1.8.4 and I use Snort_stat.pl, v 1.15.2.6 2001/08/24.
 My output is :
The log begins from: :: 
The log ends at: :: 
Total events: 0
Signatures recorded: 0 
Source IP recorded: 0 
Destination IP recorded: 0 
and next only empty form.
I used a command : cat /var/log/snort/alert | ./snort_stat.pl -f -r
In my cat /var/log/snort/alert there are a lot alert events
