content-list rule won't work

Hello, I'm testing a new rule using the content-list option and can't get it to work. I keep getting the error: "ERROR /etc/snort/test.rules Line 5 => Non-escaped ' " ' character!" Here is the test rule: alert tcp any any -> $HOME_NET 80 (msg:"Testing"; content-list:"/etc/snort/emails.txt"; nocase;) This rule is exactly like my standard "content" rules except this one is using "content-list" instead. I've tried many combinations of the above rule by changing spacing, putting the content-list option before the MSG option etc, but all return the same "Non-escaped ' " ' character!" error. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thanks!
