Converting data_payload to a readable format

Hi, good afternoon, I was wondering: is there any way (function in MySQL, 
like conv() ) I can apply to data.data_payload to see it in a human-readable 
format? I'd like to launch some reports from the DB including the offending 
payload that triggered the rule.
