hi all, i am running snort on OpenBSD 2.9. now i need to add mysql + acid with snort. i could only find binary packages for mysql at www.mysql.com also i could 'nt find the one for openbsd. i tried the one for BSDi which happened to be incompatible and resulted in abort trap. So is it possible to download the source and compile on my local machine and where to download it. Any ideas / pointers is welcome. thanks a lot Ashley
There is a mysql package for OpenBSD, look at http://www.openbsd.org/ports.html for help. You'll need to compile snort from source if there is no snort port with a mysql flavour.
