Suggestion for developers .... shouldnt snort parse rules and simply ignore errors, without core dumping ????
From the man page:
-T Snort will start up in self-test mode, checking all the supplied command line switches and rules files that are handed to it and indicating that everything is ready to proceed. This is a good switch to use if daemon mode is going to be used, it verifies that the Snort confi- guration that is about to be used is valid and won't fail at run time. ----- Erek Adams Nifty-Type-Guy TheAdamsFamily.Net _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users
