Ok.  Since you mention a switch my first response is to ask if you have
configured a mirror/span port.  If your switch is not capable I suggest you
put a hub between the switch and the Internet router (or use a tap or
similar device).

I run snort on the sensor connected to internet switch to see traffic that
comes to firewall.
I see only ICMP traffic is logged to alert file.
Why?
