Unaligned trap caused by Snort

Posted a few days ago, i have a RedHat 7.1 linux box, on a Compaq Alpha,
a i try to use Snort.
Latest stable kernel, latest snort (cvs version), compiled from source.

I have a lot of unaligned trap errors. A LOT of them. Does anybody know
how to stop Snort making these errors?
Or how to make a bugreport, when everything else is fine? No coredumps,
no error messages from Snort, no problem with the logs.

Or should i change my platform?
