Logging to database and a file

All,

        I am trying to log to the database and the syslog facility. (So I
can send my stuff to dsheild) I have them both stated in the conf file. I
can get the dbase logging going but nothing for syslog. I have seen other
people with this issue in the past but no resolution. I am using a
snort.daily cvs build from last week. Any help would be great.
