RE: Snort stopping after about 12 hours

Does anyone have a script that could check if snort is running and if it
is not start it.  I would write one but I am not well versed in
scripting.

 I have a box doing about the same thing.  I'm running SuSE 7.3, PII
333, 256meg ram, 2 20 gig raid 0's.  I don't think the system is being
overwhelmed by my 768K sdsl it's listening on.  I think I might try
changing nics, but not sure that is the problem.
