I have run Snort for a little while now, and would like to begin some

used, and O/S Snort is implemented upon. Which leads to my question..

I wanted to know if any of you had a preference as to running Snort on Free
or Open BSD. Which do you think will be more reliable? Which will perform
better? Also, regardless of the OS implemented, I plan on recompiling the
kernel, and performing other optimizations. If any of you have any specific
suggestions regarding this, please feel free to interject.

Word-of-mouth has it :o) that OpenBSD is more secure.
But YMMV.
