All, I switched from the 10/100 auto sensing Linksys hub to a synoptics 10MB hub and it looks like things are working now. I tried getting the Linksys working by forcing all adapters connected to the hub to 10mb, but I still could not get it to work. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Erek Adams" <erek () theadamsfamily net> To: "Dragos Ruiu" <dr () kyx net> Cc: "Snorters Anonymous" <snort-users () lists sourceforge net> Sent: Wednesday, August 08, 2001 3:55 PM Subject: [Snort-users] Re: FAQ 10/100 Hubs Block Other Speed Traffic

Or
that
_don't_ have it? I know what I have works dandy, but I'm out of town and can't check the model number. What kind of test can we give to the newbies? We need something akin to 'ping' that will let them know if the hub is segregating traffic. Does
anyone
know if there _is_ such a test? Or a set of things that are very simple
to do
to check this? And "No.", they won't be able to RTFM. ;-) ----- Erek Adams Nifty-Type-Guy TheAdamsFamily.Net _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users
