Newby question, when making I get the error libnet.h missing. Which package do I need to resolve this and where do I get it. I don't have the file on the system.
Hi.... libnet.h is used by the libnet package of libraries found at packetfactory. You will need it installed for some snort plugins to function - flexresp (others?). So if you ran your configure with something like '--enable-flexresp' then you will need to get it from www.packetfactory.net install. Some other very useful tools use libnet - nemesis and I think also ethereal for instance.
