hi sc-l, As many of you know, I have been collecting and publishing information about the software security space from a business perspective for several years running. In 2009, revenues from tools and services companies in the software security market exceeded $500 million. This is an important threshold for multiple reasons: the space continues to grow even in uncertain economic times, a middle market of small and medium size businesses is developing, and acquisitions by major players (IBM and HP) are bearing fruit. I published my findings as this month's informIT article <http://www.informit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=1623792> Like always, your feedback and discussion of the article is welcome. As software security finally begins to mature as a business and gain some momentum, we can help bolster the market by describing what we see happening to those outside the discipline. gem company www.cigital.com podcast www.cigital.com/silverbullet blog www.cigital.com/justiceleague book www.swsec.com _______________________________________________ Secure Coding mailing list (SC-L) SC-L () securecoding org List information, subscriptions, etc - http://krvw.com/mailman/listinfo/sc-l List charter available at - http://www.securecoding.org/list/charter.php SC-L is hosted and moderated by KRvW Associates, LLC (http://www.KRvW.com) as a free, non-commercial service to the software security community.
