Since I work at Veracode I won't pontificate on our service since I am biased but I want to correct something in your posting. Veracode is a separate company from Symantec. The technology was developed at @stake and after Symantec acquired @stake the technology was purchased by a new company, Veracode. -Chris
The initial work on the code was started at the L0pht, development continued at @stake where the intellectual property was transfered (sold) into @stake (due to the unique intellectual property agreements that had been cut during the intial creation of @stake w/ the l0pht), which resulted in Symantec acquiring it with the @stake acquisition. Not that it really matters at this point :) Just nit-picking :) .mudge
