Apparently, photofinishers generally have reacted to a suit against
Kmart a few years ago, that Kmart felt it had to settle for $100,000.
Ultimately a product of overly expansive secondary liability rules, it
seems to me.  Why should the photographers be able to get damages from
the printer instead of having to go after the individuals who order the
photos from the photofinisher?
