Of possible interest to the politechbot list:

The Society of Professional Journalists has taken a strong stand against
language in the House-passed version of the Homeland Security bill that
the organization says "blows an enormous hole in the federal Freedom of
Information Act." The bill's provisions would essentially fence off
large amounts of previously available information, according to SPJ:
