Subject: How auto-complete in Internet Explorer help convict a mass murderer

Massachusetts residents got a glimpse of malingering in the April murder
trial of Michael McDermott, who was convicted of shooting to death seven
co-workers at Edgewater Technology in Wakefield. Although McDermott
claimed that he believed he had traveled through time to kill seven
Nazis, prosecutors countered - apparently successfully - that McDermott
was faking illness, because computer records showed he had performed a
Web search for the phrase ''faking mental illness.''
