   Wayne Madsen, a journalist who covered both major party
   conventions last year, is mad about what would seem like a fairly
   obscure thing: Credentials. While reports of the Bush inaugural team
   have near-uniformly described the process as disciplined and
   efficient, Madsen's experience -- and ours -- is precisely the
   opposite. (The folks in charge of credentialing online media are even
   more surly and inefficient than those at the DMV.) After weeks of
   trying, Madsen never got his credentials, which limits his ability to
   cover the inaugural events this weekend. Read his article below.
